Scandinavians Unite!

My mothers cousins(and their families) on my Grandfather's mothers side, the Stadsvolds, from Minnesota get together every 2 years. This years destination was San Antonio, Texas which made it easy and close for us! San Antonio is a beautiful city with a lot of fun things to do. Unfortunately it was very hot and humid. We managed to get some touristy things in though. The Riverwalk is awesome and it was a semi-hot night so it was a lot of fun to walk around and see the sights and people. We ate at Boudro's which has the BEST guacamole I have ever eaten!! (I, of course go the recipe and made it last night! YUM)
My two camera shy Bees....

Tony and Brenn golfed with one of my mom's cousins...it was VERY hot, but they had a good time. These are from when they met back up with us at the resort...as you can see they were drenched
My mom, Brooklyn and my brother Don went to
Sea World. It was so hot but Brooke and Don had a great time on all the roller coasters! There were no lines on a couple and they rode all of them. I hung out with my mom in the air conditioned areas. We had a great time people watching and decided, that, without a doubt, there were very few people that were happy to be at Sea World. No one had smiles or were happy! That is with the exception of Brooke and Don on the roller coasters! :)
We went to the Mexican market on Sunday before driving home. Tony tried on sombreros(I think he really is Mexican and not Italian...his love for sombreros is hilarious) and these 10 gallon hats. We were snapping photos and having fun...up walks the owner and sternly pointed to the signs that read NO PHOTOS WITH THE HATS! I have no idea how we missed these signs, they were huge. The guy asked Tony for money for the photo! Ha! That was all it took for Tony....He stood there and stared the guy down...we left the market on that note! :)We brought my mom back to DFW for a few days after the reunion. We showed her a little of our new area, but it was hot so we did not get to explore as much as we would have liked. The kids love spending time with her.We missed my Grandfather, my dad and Britt this year, hopefully we will all be there next time in San Diego!
