Our weekend

We had a family date night on Saturday. It was Britt's last weekend home before leaving for college. We went to a movie and dinner. We saw Valkyrie with Tom Cruise. Tony loves World War II and Brenn is a history buff. Britt's favorite part of history is WWII and Brooklyn has learned a lot about Texas History and more Texas History(they are a very proud state)...we are thinking she will learn this important part of history this 2nd semester. We loved the movie. It was intense and brings to the forefront, again, what a terrible time it was in Germany and throughout the world! The only comment against the movie was from Brenn, who was the main push to see it, he said "I liked it but it was no Batman!"....What? You cannot compare these movies, but I guess the history was a little too boring for him? We all enjoyed a Mexican dinner as well. We did not go to "our' favorite Mexican place this time, we tried a new one. It was ok, but they had a band and it was too loud that we could not even hear ourselves think. The food was not nearly as good as our regular place, and we LOVE Mexican food!
We were sad to see Britt go back, it was great having here every day. So, life goes back to normal now. Brooke has finals this week and Brenn is looking forward to the 4 day weekend... :-)

I loved the movie!!! Greg thought it was a little slow but liked it.
Good Luck to the kids on all their testing, and good luck to Britt too.
Oh, about that Texas History, we know a thing or two about it!! Natalie knew every county in Texas when she was in the second grade.
Don't Mess with Texas!!!!!!
