Go Fury!

Brenn tried out and was selected to be a member of a 'select' traveling baseball team!! Congrats Brenn! In being part of this traveling team he has to keep his grades above C's and has to show all progress reports and test scores....and it is not school affiliated. We have not started tourneys as of yet but practice has started. He has private batting lessons for 1 hr a week and practices are 2 nights a week. He is so excited to play in this league. The team last year competed and took 2nd on the national level and they are hoping for another shot this year. This league plays year round ending in mid July at Nationals...which means we will travel in May-July. This fall we will travel around southern Texas and play tournaments then the Spring tournaments will require travel to Louisana and all of Texas. We are excited for him to compete at this level.

This is the latest addition to our family...he has to care for this bat like he has not cared for anything to this point in his life. This bat requires him to polish it nightly and cover it with a sock. When he bats at practice or in a game he has to really polish it. Apparently this makes for a longer life for the bat. The upkeep on the bat is like another dog or child...haha

He is very happy with the new bat!
Trying out some new batting techniques.
We are proud of you, Brenn and hope you have a great baseball season!! Go Fury!

How exciting! You guys sure do keep busy! I loved Brooklyn's post...what a sweet girl. Not many teenagers are willing to express gratitude and love to their parents like that. Sounds like you have a great relationship - you are a wonderful mother - but how nice to get notes like that. Must have made your day!! :)
